Houston Chamber Choir presents Todos Unidos: Todos Cantamos, Music of the Americas

Under the inspired direction of renowned Venezuelan conductor Marķa Guinand, the Houston Chamber Choir and Latin percussionists revel in the sacred and secular music of Central and South America for two special performances in Houston and in College Station. Noted for her dynamic presence and extensive musicality, Marķa Guinand conducts choral projects throughout Latin America, Europe, the United States, and Asia. For over three decades, Ms. Guinand has been the Associate Conductor and Advisor of Choral Symphonic Performances and Activities for Venezuela's El Sistema (FESNOJIV), the nationwide music program for youth that produced the LA Philharmonic's conducting sensation Gustavo Dudamel. As a choral promoter and Director of the Schola Cantorum of Venezuela Foundation, she contributes to the permanent establishment of choral music centers for children and youths of disadvantaged backgrounds in Venezuela and other Andean countries.
